A Journey Begins

It all began back in the mid-2000s. I was young and my imagination still very wild. I’d been writing short stories since high school. One day I had this idea to “just write” and keep on writing. So I sat down and I wrote. After a few months, something had formed which soon become a source of entertainment for me. Eventually, it came to an end, leaving me both sad and happy at the same time. It was over, but I had just written a book. I later did some editing (if you can call it that), some time passed, I did a little more editing, and by 2009, I had something I can describe as reasonably complete. Thus, Seraph, was born.

It did not take long before I got about two chapters into another book set in Seraph‘s world. A lot happened in my life around that time, sending things on a tangent. Between losing those two chapters and a new inspiration, I found myself working on an entirely new project. By 2012, I had completed Book I and some of Book II of what was planned as a trilogy. Then life happened once again, and quite a few incomplete novels and scribbled ideas later, I promised myself I would actually publish Seraph.

Fast-forward to December 2024. I had waited impatiently the entire year for my annual leave so I could dust off my first novel, give it one more polish, design the cover, and then just publish it; no more procrastinating, no more life getting in the way.

Things didn’t go quite as planned, and what should have been a January 2025 launch ended up mid August one. But, for better or worse, my book’s now out there. If there’s one thing I can say looking back, it’s that I regret not doing this sooner.
