I started this blog mainly because I wanted a place that wasn’t the cesspool that social media is — it is, you know it is, let’s not waste time debating that — and also offered some form of filing system.
“Filing system?” you may ask. Well, yes. You see this blog isn’t a place solely to post about my books. Not even mostly (that’s what https://jasonmcmasterbooks.com is for, hence the name). It’s a place to post about my self-publishing journey in the hopes of connecting with my audience, even if they are few, and providing upcoming authors a useful source of information. I want to provide my soon-to-be colleagues with short guides that aren’t the information textbooks out there. To all those ends, a blog is more fitting. From better categorisation (the filing system) to more freedom with content, as well as reader expectations, the humble blog is still the superior choice in my not-so-humble opinion.
